Discuss is a prominent online discussion platform catering to Hong Kong residents. It holds a distinguished reputation as one of the most well-known and widely used discussion forums in the region. Boasting over 5.5 million registered members from diverse classes and backgrounds, the platform serves as a hub for engaging conversations.
The primary objective of the revamp is to enhance the user experience and cultivate an energetic brand image for the platform’s users. By focusing on improving the overall user experience, we aim to create a more interactive and dynamic environment that resonates with the diverse user base. Through this revamp, we seek to elevate the platform’s appeal and foster a sense of community among its members.

UI/UX Design
The new design incorporates a range of modern UI/UX elements and vibrant illustrations, providing users with an energetic and refreshed experience. Leveraging the principles of Google’s Material Design, the app and website have been revamped to deliver a cleaner, simpler, and more consistent interface. The introduction of several new features, such as a notification center, redeem store, follow and unfollow functionality, custom tabs, ranking system, latest reply updates, and more, further enhances the user experience.
This project served as my introduction to the world of UX/UI design, marking the beginning of my journey in this field.
Working alongside two additional designers, I collaborated closely with various stakeholders, including the product owner, product manager, marketing team, web developer, iOS developer, Android developer, and QA team. The collaboration allowed me to gain invaluable insights and expand my skill set in the field of UX/UI design. The experience has ignited my passion for this discipline, leaving me eager to further explore and excel in the realm of UX/UI design.
